Parquet Floor Cleaner

2 1/4 cups mineral oil

2 tablespoons ammonia

3/4 cup oleic acid

4 tablespoons turpentine

Wearing rubber gloves, mix together mineral oil and oleic acid in a bucket. Stir in ammonia and turpentine. Mix vigorously to distribute ammonia throughout. Store in a sealed 1-quart jar or use immediately. To use, dilute 1 cup cleaner with 1/2 gallon water. Wash the floor with a mop or sponge well wrung out in the cleaning solution. If the floor has a wax finish, apply a fresh coat of wax after the floor has dried.
